English - The purpose of these required language arts courses is to provide integrated educational experiences in the language arts strands of reading; writing; listening, viewing, and speaking; language; and literature. (English I, English I Honors, English II, English II Honors, English III, English III Honors, English IV, English IV Honors, DE English IV, AP English Language & Comp., AP English Literature & Comp.)

Journalism - This course provides instruction in basic aspects of journalism and workshop experience in journalistic production. Students explore the history of journalism; practice, news, sports, feature, and editorial writing; and gain workshop experiences in photography, layout, advertising, and printing. Finally, students will demonstrate basic use of technology for research, production, and dissemination of journalistic media.

TV Production - This course introduces the history of television, principles of lighting and audio, basic camera operation, script writing and editing. Students will experience hands-on activities in the day-to-day operation of a television studio and will perform various functions of the television production crew. Course content will include but not be limited to the role of television in the mass media, television set planning, use and care of various television equipment, lighting and audio techniques, principles of picture composition, and the writing of various broadcast script formats.
